Ahhhh I'm finally back for good this time. As for the flickr vs. deviantart thing: they serve 2 different purposes. DA is more like a social networking group revolving around art, which is fun. flickr is photography and nothing more. So I'm on both (fastphotography on flickr).
Okay, so last September, I was mowing yards like crazy. It would rain every other day which meant the grass grew insanely fast. I could barely pull myself to mow 2-3 yards per day. (it gets really old really fast). So i decided that, when mowing season is over, i would treat myself to either a new pentax k10d, or a super telephoto system (consisting of a new lens, teleconverter, and tripod). My current pentax *ist DL works just fine so i went with the super telephoto system. And man am i happy for it! It started out with the 300/4, then right before I went to Texas i got a teleconverter. And the really cool thing is this:
Ebay tripods. I was going around on Pentaxforums.com (great forum) and people were saying that the ebay tripods called "amvona" were exceptional, and extraordinarily cheap. So after deciding to take a risk, i bought a set of legs and a ballhead for a WHOLE LOT LESS than what it would have been in a name brand. Go to ebay and type in "amvona" and you'll see. It's incredible. Undoubtely the most sturdy ballhead i've ever encountered. For $35.
You'll see some of my pictures from Texas up here really soon!
Last but not least, following up from my previous journal, i took 1031 pictures. (all on one set of 4 lithium batteries!!!) SO the winner is ~
MadelaineDark! Congrats, here's your feature!
[link] - pretty surreal! simple editing, almost looks infrared!
[link] ...i wish i could go there...
ALSO! There is no way I will be able to look at 4,531 deviations in my inbox. So obviously, without a subscription, it's really hard to look at all of them.
IF THERE ARE SOME PICTURES YOU WANT TO SHOW ME, LINK THEM IN A COMMENT ON HERE! I am more than happy to look at them and comment/fav them and such, but there's no way i'd be able to find them in my inbox.
