One Buck

That day I saw twelve deer in four different places in 1.5 hours.
I saw this fella's rack sticking out of the grass, just barely, and I decided to sneak up on him. He didn't move a muscle. I couldn't see his face, only his rack, which was just barely moving. It took me about 20 minutes to sneak 40 feet through the grass; I was going extraordinarily slow. Finally, he woke up or something and saw how close I was (about 30 feet) and decided to get up. I didn't move. For about three seconds, he just sat there and looked at me. I was shooting like crazy; picture after picture after picture. Finally, after a few seconds, he pranced away. He went to a different place, more close to the trees, and again, I only saw his rack. But I was so ridiculously excited for this picture that I didn't chase him into the pasture, because I knew he'd only run away before I got closer.

Finally. I got a good one of a deer.
